In this initial broadcast, Bob, also known as Robert Meyers-Lussier, introduces Lori Bregenzer, and they delve into their mutual love for food and the origins of their interest in cooking. A Passion for Food

Bob and Lori have known each other for over 25 years. Their friendship is deeply rooted in a shared passion for cooking, which they first discovered through countless phone conversations that always revolved around food—whether it was about what they cooked or what they planned to cook. Their love for food is not just about the act of cooking but about its potential to create lasting memories.

Lori’s Culinary Journey

Lori shares her background, mentioning her deep-seated love for the kitchen from a young age. Her family life has always been food-focused, with fond memories of making Christmas cookies and candies. Although she moved away from the culinary industry, working as a Legal Technology Consultant & Trainer, her heart remained in cooking at home for family and friends. Ultimately, she’s fulfilled a lifelong dream by opening a small restaurant, Comfort Cuisine by Lolly, which focuses on takeaway, heat-and-eat comfort foods.

Bob’s Culinary Evolution

Bob, on the other hand, grew up with a different experience. Food in his household was more about survival than enjoyment. Despite this, he found inspiration from early TV chefs like Julia Child and began learning to cook at a young age. His time in the army allowed him to experiment with food and share his creations with others. Once he left the army, he chose a non-culinary career, working in Legal Technology as well, but eventually circled back, writing a cookbook titled “This is Delicious. What is it?

Contrasting Culinary Approaches

While Lori specializes in evoking cherished food memories through comfort dishes, Bob thrives on exploring the boundaries of cooking by incorporating unique and complex ingredients. Their differing approaches promise to bring a dynamic perspective to their podcast, as they tackle common culinary topics from their distinct viewpoints.

In “A Seasoned Friendship,” Bob and Lori aim to explore a wide array of themes—from recipes to advanced cooking techniques. They hope to inspire and interact with a community of food enthusiasts who share their enthusiasm.
